At Alba, we are committed to designing products that respect the environment by favouring materials that have as little negative impact as possible, from extraction to end-of-life. We make it a point of honour to limit waste, thereby reducing our ecological footprint and that of our customers. Raising awareness of responsible and sustainable consumption is essential to us. To achieve this, we train our designers in eco-design. Our aim is to offer products that meet strict standards, while respecting our planet.
Choose recycled and/or recyclable resources:
Before designing a product, Alba establishes very precise specifications in order to favour recycled and/or recyclable materials such as wood, steel or certain plastics...). The objective is clear: to limit our waste as much as possible, and consequently our ecological footprint. In the interests of transparency and ecological awareness, Alba makes available the environmental characteristics of each of our products. So you too can play your part in environmental issues.

Creating solid, robust products:
At Alba, we work closely with our partners to control the quality and materials used. We use durable materials to create design products that stand the test of time. To offer you a quality service, it's important for us to optimise your furniture stock as much as possible. Whether you're moving house, setting up a new business or renewing your office fittings, Alba can support you and guarantee you products that will stand the test of time.
Creating products that consume less :
In terms of our luminaires, 100% of our lamps have LED lighting (LED lamps use light-emitting diodes). This technology is a much more energy-efficient, environmentally-friendly and sustainable alternative. For example, our LED lamps have an average life of 25,000 hours. To find out exactly how much energy each lamp consumes, our lamps and floor lamps come with energy labels (which show how the products rank on a scale from A to G, according to their energy consumption).
As well as the benefits in terms of energy consumption, LEDs have a real impact on your company's costs and safety. Its low-temperature operation makes it safer. With LED bulbs, 80% of the energy produced is in fact converted into lighting and 20% at best into heat dissipation due to the components used to regulate the current in the LEDs.

Optimised packaging:
At Alba, our designers create increasingly optimised products and packaging to limit our carbon footprint. First of all, this means eliminating all plastic parts (polystyrene, plastic bags, etc.), which we have replaced with moulded pulp tray cartons made from recycled cardboard. Our designers then worked on optimising the dimensions of the packaging, taking into account the dimensions of the pallets. The aim was to minimise the free space per pallet by almost 40% in order to limit our transport.
Finally, as part of our design process, our designers are tasked with reworking best-selling products (without altering the design, of course) to comply with the new dimensions imposed.
