INTERNAL SUSTAINABLE CONSUMPTION

At Alba, we believe that sustainability is a shared responsibility that starts within our company. We are committed to promoting sustainable consumption in all our operations to reduce our environmental footprint and inspire positive change.

Reducing waste

We have introduced a waste reduction programme that encourages the recycling and reuse of materials. Each department is actively involved in identifying opportunities to reduce the waste generated on a daily basis. In addition, we have eliminated the use of plastic cutlery and other disposable items, favouring reusable and compostable alternatives. We are also increasingly digitising our internal processes to reduce our dependence on paper, switching to digital solutions for document management and internal communication. This transition to a paperless company not only reduces our consumption of natural resources, but also improves operational efficiency.

Energy efficiency

In our quest for energy efficiency, we have invested in innovative, environmentally-friendly technologies. Our offices are equipped with LED lighting systems and energy-efficient equipment, reducing our overall consumption. We also encourage our staff to adopt energy-saving practices, such as switching off electrical appliances when not in use and optimising the use of natural light.

Initiatives

Green mobility: We encourage all employees to use environmentally-friendly means of transport such as cycling, car-sharing and public transport. These efforts are aimed at reducing CO2 emissions linked to commuting, while promoting a culture of health and well-being within our company.

Reducing business travel: To minimise our environmental impact, we have adopted communication technologies that enable our teams to collaborate effectively from a distance. Thanks to video conferencing and online collaboration tools, we are significantly reducing the need for business travel, thereby reducing our carbon footprint.
